Over the past few months virtual healthcare interactions have grown into prominence as a safe and effective way for patients to maintain doctor visits without person-to-person contact. According to CNBC, research from Frost and Sullivan consultants and Forrester Research acknowledge that “March telehealth visits surged 50%,” and are expected to “top 1 billion by year’s end.” This has created new opportunities for healthcare providers. Though in-person appointments remain critical for some providers, telemedicine can help augment practices.
There are some limits to the health conditions that can be treated through telemedicine appointments.
