Today we’re spotlighting Demandforce customer Front Range Eye Health Center (FREHC) in Louisville, Colorado! This small but mighty optometry practice has five doctors for the front office to manage patients for. Anyone who has worked in the front office of a practice knows that without automation and digital communication tools, you’re working harder to juggle time-consuming tasks. You also end up tying up phone lines as you call each patient to confirm their appointment, only to leave a voicemail because your call is often missed.
Tools they used to overcome their challenge
FREHC used the appointment request emails, appointment confirmation texts and calls, and automated recall text features daily. The practice sent 228% more text messages and 147% more emails since using Demandforce’s tools. They’ve even attained an email open rate of 49%, which is 35% higher than the health industry standard. Last year they sent over 30,000 texts to patients, freeing up the phone lines for new patient inquiries.
The outcome of bringing on Demandforce
The front office staff of FREHC started saving a considerable amount of time each morning as patients:
- Showed interest by clicking the appointment request emails versus calling the office.
- Confirmed their appointments quickly and easily via the automated phone calls and texts without interrupting what the front office was working on.
- Switched from lost to active after being prompted by the automated recall text messages.
Because they eye care center started to use communications tool that their patients preferred, they have increased the number of visits per day each year since 2013 and now receive nearly two times the number of visits to their practice.
