They are very friendly and personal. Whenever I bring my children in for their appointments, they are treated very kindly and are put at ease. Though this isn't what I would call a "kid dentistry", my kids enjoy going.

I have been going to West 56th Dental for over 20 years and they have become good friends. They have educated me on good dental hygiene and have actually reduce the amount that i pay out on my dental work because of the good preventative work they do.

my experience at West 56th dental has been a all around horrible experience! it started with a root canal, that if course hurt after, but when I got home I felt something funny under my tongue and add the numbing came out, it hurt so bad. so I finally liked and tge Dr had burned a chunk of my tongue. it was very painful and irritating. when I called to report this the response I got was "ya, he remembers doing, it should be fine, no big deal".....ummmm burying skin off my tongue it's a big deal to me!!! then I called about a month later saying that the tooth hurt, so I went in. when the Dr saw it he said it needed a re-treat root canal...... maybe if it was done right the first time it would need a re-treat that cost me an additional $1300! this tooth has continued to hurt horribly for the past month or so. I went in recently to have the crown prepped, and that by far was the most horrible and painful treatment I've ever had. I was literally crying...I had tears rolling down my face it hurt so bad. the receptionist told me it would only take 45-1hr and it took 2hrs!!! when I asked if it was supposed to hurt that bad the Dr said " oh you'll be fine with ibprofen, it shouldn't hurt that bad". That's great that ibprofen will work fine, and it did, but holy crap it hurt. I'm very disappointed with my experience there. the receptionist was very rude as well at one point. they will no longer have my service.

You guys are great. The only thing that I had bad was when my uvula or whatever the dangly thing in the back got suctioned up. It hurt and that night I couldn't swallow or sleep very well. It is a little better today but still can't swallow. It was an accident but definitely bring to attention because it affects the patient very much.

Thank you for your comments! The suction we use is very strong, which is a two-edge sword. The good part is that it quickly picks up debris that we would rather not have you swallow, the not so good is that it sucks up tongues, cheeks, and sometimes uvula's. We apologize for any discomfort you experienced.
