Went in and told them what I was looking for and was told it would be a multiple step process. Little did I know it would only look like there was highlights put in my hair. The cut turned put great however my total was 160.00. I call back to make a follow up to do step 2 of lord knows how many to hear a unprofessional voice recording that there ha been an emergency of new owner management so they wouldn't be reopen for another 8 weeks! I made an appointment with another salon that said it shouldn't have taken more than 2 times and only charged me half as much. I hope the new management is better however I don't think ill be going back but loved Sydney's personality and she was very nice.

I was very excited to have my first Aveda experience since my friend worked for Aveda and I have used Aveda products for the past 6 years. (Being in the military, you are not always near an Aveda salon.) I walked in and was promptly and courteously greeted by JC and offered a beverage and he told me that my stylist would be right with me. My stylist walked out and we got started, she asked me what I wanted done and I was very specific about what I wanted. I was a bit confused because she conferred with another stylist on the color, but I assumed that the other stylist was just "the one" to go to for that information. Every salon has one stylist that is just the go to girl, but I digress... My stylist came back and got to work, we chatted and she was very friendly and sweet. I noticed that throughout this whole appointment that the other stylist would occasionally watch my stylist. I wondered why, but didn't ask. We get to the cutting portion of my experience and again my stylist re-confirms what I wanted done. Cut, blowdry and style and I'm finished. I noticed the cut wasn't as sharp as I would like, but I didn't want to say anything and "be that person". So I paid and left. I get home and I really get to look at what is done and it is not what I would have expected from 1) a master stylist (whom I specifically requested) and 2) an Aveda salon. I had two big stripes of color and I discussed with my stylist that because my hair is fine and thin, a smaller weave must be done to help hide the fact that my hair is fine and thin. My husband noticed that the cut and color was not up to my standards as well and he told me to go right back to the salon and ask for them to make it right. When I got there and told them the problem, I found out that the stylist that I originally asked for was running late that day and they put me with a brand new person! It was her first day and they didn't tell me, they didn't ask me or anything! I was shocked because I specifically asked for a master colorist! The stylist (Danielle) that helped my stylist with the color came over and took care of me. Danielle had to re-color my hair to give me the highlights that I wanted and she had to re-cut my hair to give me the shape I had asked for.

While I was taken care of after I went back, I feel that they are going to have to earn my trust back as a salon. While I believe that Danielle will continue to do a great job on me, as a whole, I feel a bit deceived because they switched my stylists on me. Of course they all felt bad and apologized, but I am going to have to go a few more times, for this feeling to pass.

I wanted to give a 5, but I feel that what I originally received from an Aveda salon was below average (because I was specific about what I wanted and who I requested and at the prices that Aveda charges, it should have been better). Danielle is a fantastic stylist and she is the only reason that I am giving an Above Average. I hope that after my next visit, I get this survey again and I will be able to change my review and give 5 stars.

Danielle is so sweet and so talented. She completely understood what style, cut and color I was looking for. She used the photos I showed her as a guide to personalize them to my hair type and base color. She even took into consideration that I was a mom of a two year old and knew the option to wear my hair in a ponytail was a must without me evening asking. I really appreciated the extra time she took to show me how to style my hair the same way. When she was finished I actually felt like a movie star who had been styled for a move take. The products and service at Wabi Sabi are fabulous and it smells so good there. Try the hot tea when they offer you a refreshment when you arrive!

Ultra fabulous as always! Katrina made me feel so good again. Some people have tears of dread after a hair change. I have had nothing but tears of joy which says a ton!!! It's been fun the last two mornings to see just what my crazy hair is going to do, and I have loved it all! Thank you Katrina!!!
