had my exam there a week or so ago and this morning brought in the frames I previously bought from y'all to have the new prescription put in. Got there at 8 am, which your web site and phone message say is your opening time. Sign on the door said you open at 8:30, so I waited -- all the way to 9:10, but nobody showed up. Had a lot of work to do so I had to leave. Took a big chunk out of my work day for nothing.

It's often said that timing is everything. For me, what I thought what would be a routine exam and new glasses turned out to be a twenty four hour period of events that, in a million years, I would have never expected. As always my experience with Dr. Kay Royal and her staff at Family Eye Care of Toccoa was pleasant and thorough. My family and I have been patients of Dr.Royal's sense she began her practice in Toccoa and yesterday was as every other visit, very complete and in an environment that makes one feel like they're visiting family. You see, she doesn't have an "office" now, rather a beautifully furnished, warm and inviting grand, antebellum home full of memorabilia that takes one back in time. As for my unusual events, Dr. Royal found a much more serious problem than just needing a new pair of glasses. Beyond her knowledge and skills, she managed my experience with heart-felt explanations and a plan that left me with no questions with regard to seriousness and urgency but also complete confidence because I had no doubt she really was looking out for me and she really cared. This evening, I wasn't surprised when Dr. Royal called to find out the outcome of my referral and it meant so much to be able to talk with her about the events that had happened. The "timing" of this experience is amazing in itself but, much more important, Kay Royal's genuine interest has given me the opportunity for vision and that's no small thing.

I didn't have to wait to begin the process, staff was friendly and informative and Dr. Royal went out of her way to make the visit comfortable and efficient. The procedures were painless and the explanations were appreciated. I couldn't be happier with the checkup and the results!

I have the great respect for Dr. Royal and her professionalism to her patients. I feel she is very current in technology and & on the latest news on eye health and care. I trust her completely on my eyecare. Unfortunately, I feel her front office does not protray the same professional image. It was very disappointing not to greeted & acknowledged for my appointment for awhile. I noticed that their seems to be alot of visiting and peddling of other things that are not work related instead of being atttentive to the patient.

Maybe it would be a great idea to have her staff attend a seminar on office protocol.
