About
Toronto vet clinic, Yonge Street Animal hospital is located in the Uptown Yonge and Eglinton area of Toronto at 2722 Yonge Street. Our veterinary clinic is a full service companion animal hospital. It is our commitment to provide high quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his/ her lifetime.
We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery, with compassion while providing superior client communication and education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.
Yonge Street Animal Hospital has served the Yonge-Eglinton Toronto community for over 8 decades. It was established at its current location in 1937 as a branch of the 'Campbell Animal Hospital by Dr. J.A. Campbell. Subsequent owners of the clinic included Dr. Norman D. Scollard from 1946-1954, Dr. Wingrove from 1954-1962. and then Dr. Andre Belaiche purchased the practice and served the local community for the next 35 years.
In September of 1996 Dr. Andre Belaiche retired and Dr. Michael Belovich purchased Yonge Street Animal Hospital, being joined over 10 years ago by his associate Dr. Lisa Crozier.
The clinic currently also employs a dedicated team of Client Care Specialists, Registered Veterinary Technicians, Associate Veterinary Technicians, and Kennel Assistants. The clinic also hosts co-op students, and volunteers from around the world, that work closely with our staff not only to learn but to assist in providing superior care to all our patients.

Used your veterinary services for 4 years and after my dog had a bad reaction to the vaccinations provided at your office ( Rabies and bordatella) there was a lack of responsibility in your side to take any accountability for the life threatening emergency that my dog went through.
This is very disappointing, no interest or follow up from the Yonge Street Animal hospital was provided.
I do not know if the vaccinations were expired or their temperature handled incorrectly for my dog to present the reaction and side effects that he had.
After that my dog care cannot be the same.
I am sorry that a Veterinary Clinic that has some very good Veterinarian Assistants do not have a responsible Associate Veterinarian or as a business treating our pets, responds or follow up in cases like this.
While we handle our vaccines with the utmost professional standards, vaccine reactions can still occur. In spite of providing exceptional professional care and phoning to follow-up immediately after the incident I understand you were still upset. Unfortunately, in spite of continuing to bring your pet to ur clinic fo almost a year, I was never aware of your discontent until after you moved clinics and placed this review. All our clients and patients are important to us and I am sorry that a lack of communication has led to this unfortunate situation. I have phoned to apologize and I wish you the best of luck.
