CHECK the BBB Site They have multiple complaints and D+ rating. Top Tech automotive charged me for repairs they didn't do. They said that they fixed the valves and machined the head; they also "repaired" an oil leak. The service took 14 days to "complete." During the work they cracked the exhaust manifold. I brought it back to them because Darin said they wanted to check the work. He gave me a quote for the manifold repair and said they checked all of the work and everything else look good.
I brought the vehicle to another shop to have the manifold work done. When the shop began the work they contacted me to tell me that the head is leaking oil and antifreeze and that the oil pan is leaking had had not been repaired and the transmission work had not been completed either. 10 of 12 valves were leaking and had not been repaired.
I called top tech to determine if we could reach an agreement to resolve the issue. Darin was rude and told me that he was not going to reimburse me any of the cost. He said that I should have brought it back to them for the repairs. I had already paid someone to start the work, I wasn't going to pay them and then and bring it back to Top Tech to have them do a bad job the second time. I am filing in small claims court.

The problem with out vehicle was not addressed. We were never contacted by Toptech with a progress report. We were charged twice as much for an oil change as the price quoted. After a week, we were basically charged $180 for a $40 oil change and the car was not repaired. This is the worst car repair experience I have ever gone through, Toptech will never see another of my vehicles.

The service I got here at first was not the best.AfterDarin showed up it got lots better. Darin was always up front and explained things very good to me. I have had vehicles serviced around town but never had a tech. explain to me what they did that is above and beyond.

I brought my truck in for a leak and after 3 visits and $1,200 of unneeded repairs the leak was fixed with a .15 cent zip tie. I researched the problem myself and asked them if it would work. They didn't know about the internet or posts made by professional technicians about repair work.
While putting my truck up on their lift they pushed it up into their heating system along the ceiling and melted my marker lights. That was an additional $150.00 dollars out of my pocket all for a .15 cent zip tie.
Scary place to take a vehicle.

$2,000 of unecessary labor and repairs performed on my vehicle. Note that the original estimate was for $1,000 (which, in retrospect was wrong). We were never notified of any cost over-run. Top Tech recommended a full engine replacement, turns out all my truck needed was a new starter. I've attended playschools where the students knew more about car repairs than these guys.

I went in to Top Tech to get my air conditioning charged in my vehicle.when I called the woman said the charge was 130 for this service,when I finally got the bill it was 270.I will definitely not be going back...

Pro's:
John and Darren are really nice people and easy to talk to.

Con's:
Service techs are not thorough and do not appear to be knolwedgeable. Key inspection steps were not taken during the repair of my vehicle that extended repair time and increased cost.
Costs ballooned past original estimates without warning and proactive communication by Top Tech is lackluster.
Due to service contracts with industry companies, if you bring your personal vehicle in be prepared to be continually shuffled to the bottom of the service pile. Expect service on your personal vehicle to take far longer than anticipated.

I have brought my vehicle to Top Tech twice now, the first being about a year ago. During the first repair I picked up on the fact that their auto techs really weren't top notch. However, I am a sucker for establishing good relationships and the folks at Top Tech really seemed like they wanted to earn my business. Therefore, I brought my truck in for repair work this month and it was an absolute train wreck. After three weeks and repair costs double the iniial estimate with no warning (and with at least another 3 weeks and more costs to go) I finally pulled my vehicle from Top Tech.

Excellent workmanship. Appears to know their business. Felt their service was just a bit overpriced but will work with customer. Friendly staff will answer questions and will review their workmanship and the bill with their customers. Would recommend.
