We like Dr. Hansen, but his office staff and front desk ladies were over the top rude! They have no knowledge of insurance or how to make claims properly. We had to have Blue Cross call them three different times to explain our beifits and they still sold us the wrong set of glasses! Our experience was horrible, and the glasses we bought are junk! The lenses keep popping out and we are much happier with the inexpensive pair that we ordered from zenni! Not to mention that they withheld my daughters contact prescription and tried to make us come back for very expensive "lessons" about the contacts after we had already taken her in for two appointments to get fitted for the contacts. We will never go back! Sad that such a nice doctor has such an incompetent staff.
We are sorry you are disappointed with your visit to our office. We strive to make each visit enjoyable, while providing the best quality eye care possible. We apologize for any confusion with your insurance plan. There are thousands of insurance plans and we admit there is no way for us to be experts in all of the plan benefits. We file claims as a courtesy to our patients, and occasionally there are complications that arise.
Contact lenses are medical devices that require proper follow up for optimal eye health. Teaching proper contact lens care is part of our contact lens fitting fee, along with all necessary follow up appointments to ensure a healthy fit and comfortable lenses. Until the entire fitting process is complete and the lenses are being worn successfully, there is not a finalized contact lens prescription.
