I had to switch because my insurance changed and unfortunatley was not impressed with the office.
First I was upset because they have a policy if I did not call back and confirm, my already made appt, they cancelled the appt. I then had to reschedule.
I was however very pleased with the hygenist and dentist. I found it strange that no where on the web or any advertisements does it list other dentist than the owner. I feel they are why patients come back, and should be recognized.
Second, I was upset that there were camera's in the room and was not notified that I may be filmed without my concent. I don't feel this makes for a very good work envirnment either. Just my opinion but it seems more like the owner doesn't trust his staff or his patients and is more concerned about himself than anyone else.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We are always striving to make the patient experience the very best it can be. We are happy to hear that you liked your experience with your doctor and your hygienist.
In response to your comments about our confirmation policy of having to contact us by text, email, or phone in order for your appointment to be held, we do reserve the appointment time you request especially for you. We send emails, text messages, and leave a voicemail if you do not answer. Our message clearly states that if you do not respond to our attempts to reach you, we will offer the appointment to another patient who may have been waiting to get in to see us and who also may be in pain. With everyone's fast-paced lifestyles these days, sometimes our patients forget about their appointments. The only way we have of determining whether or not a patient will honor the appointment that they originally reserved is by them contacting us to verify that they will in fact be here at the date and time they reserved.
In response to your comment about the fact that all of our doctors are not listed on our website, we are in the process of updating the site and Dr. Driskill and Dr. Schlee should be posted soon. Sorry for the delay.
In response to your comment about not being informed that our facility has security cameras, actually that is not true. The new patient form that you signed when you arrived clearly states, "I understand all procedures in this office may be audio-visually recorded for security and training purposes." As you know, almost all businesses, even the smallest ones, now have security cameras, including all hospitals. This protects you, the patient, as well as the business. It has nothing to do with distrusting the staff or the patients.

I needed to get a tooth repaired (surface of old capped tooth came off)
Also needed exam and cleaning (not been to Dentist for several years)
The Hygienist took time to explain my dental x-rays; she showed me the proper
procedures in taking care of my teeth, (not doing correctly for years)
the cleaning was the best I can remember, the manner in which she presented
herself was very calming and professional.
The lady that gave me the injection in preparation for my dental work explained
exactly what she was going to do before she proceeded. I can't believe I'm going to
say this but I did not feel any pain from the injections, I've had injections for front teeth work in the past and they were very uncomfortable to say the least
The Dentist did my exam, explained the future work needed on my teeth.
She filled a front tooth, prepared two others for crowns and put in 2 temporary
teeth until my permanent crowns were ready, she was very pleasant and I am happy to have her as my dentist, her assistant was great, she made my temporaries and they looked perfect.
All this was done on my first visit
From the check in to the check out everyone I came in contact with that first day was amazing

NI have to say the whole group of staff was great. The where really friendly and made. Me fill relaxed and inform of what was going on the wholetime . I also didnt feel rushed. Great job.

Thats right this 69 year old chicken made a return visit on 11-2-12 and decided that since I had such a great experience the 1st time I would continue to get my teeth fixed up. The experience this time was the same as the other visits, the staff and Dr. VanderMolen made me feel very much at ease and the whole procedure was painless. I'm so happy that I have found a dentist and staff that care for me and treat me with so much respect that I will go back. Thanks to everyone at Advanced Dental Care, you are the best. Keep up the great work.

The appointment was on time, the technician was courteous and helpful, the dentist carefully answered questions about future needs. There was not a lot of pressure to take care immediately of some upcoming work to be done. I was pleased with the service and will continue to use and recommend the services of Advanced Dental Care of Springfield.
