While traveling and encountering transmission trouble (hitting something in the road in the middle of the night bent the transmission pan which caused a leak of most of the transmission fluid) Shiftsgood Transmission blew me away. They went WAY above and beyond my expectations. Reese and Mike and Eric made sure I was getting the best transmission repair. The price allowed me to continue on my trip instead of having to turn around and go home. We are so pleased with Shiftsgood. They were friendly all the way and kept me informed as to the progress and even explained all that was done to our church's van's transmission. They asked me to come back in a week and let them douyble check everything which I will do but do not anticipate any problems it is doing great and we noticed that the engine is running cooler since they did the rebuild.

Traveling Sarasota to Minneapolis, we "celebrated" New Year's Eve in Calhoun when our radiator sprung a leak. After making some calls to answering machines on Sunday, New Year's Day, we received a text back from Shiftsgood. They took us in after 1PM, diagnosed, estimated, and completed the job by 4PM! The next 17 hours on the road proved their quality and we were even asked enroute if things were going well.
Honest, fair, informed, qualified, personable.
My guess is you'll spend less $$$ here for far better work.

Well to start with when I picked the car up the SRS light was on and despite their efforts this could not not be resolved. While on the way home the ABS light came on. I arrived at home and pulled the right side wheel off and found that the ABS sensor was not connected, but was hanging loose. I bolted the sensor in place. I decided to check the left side and that sensor was OK. While putting the left side wheel on I noticed that the hub was loose, the left spindle nut was not tight! This was a nightmare waiting to happen. I properly tightened and locked the nut. Certain things must be done correctly and properly tightening the spindle nuts ranks way up there. I will never use this shop again.

the fellows at shiftgood were personable and very informative. even tho it was a long wait for the parts to get to the shop, overall the fix was quick and now our transmission is back up and running good as new! it shift great and no leaks!!!

The automatic transmission on my 96 volvo completely went out. I am very pleased with the rebuild experience. Reece and Dean worked to give me the best deal possible. And tried to save me some cash since the trans was for a car with 368k miles on it. They even purchased some new parts for troubleshooting and took them back out and did not charge me when the originals turned out to be ok. I would recommend that anyone needing transmission work contact them.
