I have been a LOYAL client at Shea Essence since 2010. I am extremely leary about the new management. Heather the new manager has her family there hanging out in the lobby during business hours, I believe her teenage daughter works the register and a teenage male is there most times walking around barefoot (Unprofessional) and noticed. New spa chairs and carpet have been added but it has become more of a typical low budget chop shop nail shop verses a true spa feel. I feel rushed now, my nails look like "shhhh" and my OPI polish always bubbles because of it. IF I WANT TO GO AND HAVE A NAIL CHOP SHOP EXPERIENCE I WOULD AND PAY 19.99. I pay too much at Shea Essence for the crap that has been going on lately. I believe that you should get what you pay for. Shea Essence used to be a place that I felt was a hidden treasure in Sugarland. Now with all of the changes to SQUEEZE more room into this place just to mass produce appointments like everywhere eIse is annoying...It is turning into a "Nail Shop" that is on every corner.... HUGE mistake!!!! Heather you will loose more and more loyal customers behind rushing them through. I was always taught that LESS is MORE!!! I miss Lisa and Lynn dearly, they handled business, did not over book and knew how to make you feel special as a client...For instance, before the changes, I was given a very cute chocolate bag to place my shoes in after my pedicures, now I have been receiving a Viet Hoa plastic grocery bag...WTH? Again, I pay too much at Shea Essence to be treated like I paid 20.00 for services. I am at the point that I am only still there until I find somewhere else to go. By the way, my entire family comes here, as well as co-workers and friends for services on a regular basis and 95% of them are on the hunt for a different spa. On a positive note, Dorsha and Sheryl give some of the best doggon massages in the world....you will not be disappointed with either of them.
