On Saturday evening, I was so looking forward to my 90 minute hot stone massage that I treated myself to for my birthday, but I was unfortunately disappointed.

I have been to Sense Spa many times and always had a good experience, but this time, it was not worth the $200.

My therapist was lovely and kind, but did not seem confident with her touch. So I couldn't tell if she was really confident with this kind of massage or her tentative nature was just her way. But overall, it was probably 3 out 5 stars.

What the real issue was the distracting, loud talking going on what seemed like right next door to my massage. It sounded like a staff break room. Talking, laughing, things being moved around, bumping for what seemed like, the ENTIRE massage. I can completely dismiss the occasional words being exchanged every once in a while if there was a treatment going on in the adjacent room. But whatever was happening, there was absolutely no regard for the fact that there was a massage going on nearby. I tried really hard to not focus on it, but it really did ruin the experience.

I did mention it at checkout when I was asked how things went. I was asked if I wanted to speak with the manager, but I really didn't want to complain at the front desk, so I asked for the manager's card instead, so I could email them directly. I was given the assistant manager's card, and I have not yet emailed that person but when this email came to me asking for my feedback, I decided I would do so.

I really hope this issue gets addressed so future clients do not have a similar experience.

I am in the business of high end customer service, and in my business, we take feedback very seriously. I truly hope that whoever reads this, will also take it seriously. As a consumer, I have a lot of choices as to where I do business. I work hard, and when I indulge, its nice to feel that the indulgence was worth it.

The atmosphere in the spa was very pleasant. The snacks and drinks were great and everything was kept very clean. I loved my service and hope to return next time I'm in San Francisco!! Thank you!

I'd booked a 60 min deep tissue massage a few days in advance. An hour before my appointment, I received a phone call saying that my masseuse

would not be available. Unfortunately, I didn't get the message in time. Folks at the desk were great. They scheduled me for a complimentary pedicure.

Given that something similar happened to my friend, I'm not confident I can count on appointments at this spa.

I added 15 minutes to a massage at the front desk, they forgot or the front desk did not communicate with the massage person. That was disappointing.

It would have been nice to use the fitness center and sit by the pool but you need to stay there or pay 250 minimum, There was not one person in either of those areas when we looked. I guess we didn't spend enough. They should consider m-th to use fitness/pool with any spa service at least.

The staff is very professional and friendly. The Doctor is easy to talk to and very capable. The staff also works well dealing with insurance papers and scheduling future appointments. This is a comfortable environment for patients who are afraid of clinical environments that make them nervous about going to the dentist.
