I've been a customer of Preferred Automotive for over 10 years and know that both Gary and Mike will give me the straight scoop on protecting my cars. The Mechanics are first rate. I've dealt with other shops in the past but it's Preferred that get's my business today, because I trust them.

I was a little disappointed that my appointment had not been confirmed when I brought in my car, but the guys didn't make me wait too long. Plus, I'm able to relax in nice chairs and wait if need be.

My check engine light was on that why I dropped my car there. Interactions with Kyle was good. He called me and explained to me what he recommended to be done (brakes, lightbulbs, etc). I declined the options since the estimate was some $1300 dollars and he was understanding.

What pissed me off was a guy that came out of the office around 6:30pm when I went to get the car. I found the CEL was still on (which is not too surprising because CELs come on and off). Since the guy worked there I decide to ask for details of the repairing and if or not I should leave the car there so they could further check it the next day. The guy said in the very UNFRIENDLY and ARROGANT tone that "we have done everything I can at this moment, this is how the computer in the car works", and "THIS CAR NEED BRAKES AND LIGHTBULBS EVERYWHERE". Then he asked how long the car has been sitting, I told him 3 weeks which is the truth since I've been commuting with it 60 miles per day before I got my new car 3 weeks ago. He said in a very suspecting tone that "NO IT'S NOT, IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS". I got a little offended and told him that it is very rude to imply that I was lying, then he changed his wording to "I didn't say it has been sitting for 6 months, I said it looks like that". Seriously, do I need to pay 70 dollars, get no diagnosis and nothing fixed, and put up with the stuff's arrogant attitudes about "you know nothing about cars" and "you are lying about how long you've parked your car"?? Oh and at the end, the guy got so angry that he raced his pickup passing my friend's car and nearly hit it. You got to hire someone who doesn't have anger problems.
