Dr. Lai is very personable . Equipment is state of the art. Appreciated that the doctor was on time for my appointment.

The office staff were great. They went out to put quarters in my meter for me. Dr. Lai was exceptional. He was very concerned and took extra time with me. I have since sent my adult son to see him and he thought that he was great. My husband and daughter both have a future appt. to see him.

Been going to these guys for four years now, even though I moved across the bay three years ago. Dr. Lai is excellent at what he does and his staff is always prompt, courteous, and very helpful.

Super helpful as always. Came in with a broken frame and it was replaced by them on the spot (covered by warranty, woot!). I also wanted to buy a big bundle of contact lenses and they recommended to buy a smaller batch and wait until my vision insurance kicks in again--I was impressed that they recommended the frugal thing to do and was not trying to get the extra sale.

Dr. Lai and his staff do a great job of checking my eyes every year. He always has the latest equipment for completing his evaluation. He and his staff are really friendly too. So I always leave knowing that my eyes are in great shape.

Just to add, he was recommended to me by another eye doctor. That's hard to beat! So now my whole family and some friends go to him for their eye care needs.

Dr Lai is a great optometrist. I've been to him a few times for my annual exam and it's always been a pleasure. He is very laid back, but he definitely knows what he is doing and he's able to quickly evaluate the best options available. Compared to other experiences, he's more flexible in his approach to the evaluation and he's focused on the outcome, rather than just going through all the motions. He also takes time to explain things well and is a realist when it comes to setting expectations. His equipment also seems very up to date, which actually makes a huge difference in what you learn from your evaluation. The office is very professional and efficient, something that is in stark contrast to my last optometrist. I'd definitely recommend him.

Amazing experience, I am glad that I found Dr Lai he is a wonderful doctor, very detailed and explains things very well to me.

The only reason I didn't do the full 5 stars is that what I don't like is that every eye glass option is very expensive. I do not prefer name brand, very expensive glasses and have found it difficult to find more affordable options. I wear glasses an hour a day so do not spend my money on frames and this is my one pain point .
