I went to Dr. Lin so I could find out what to do with a bad acne problem I was having, small fine lines around my eyes, and bumpy skin right below that. We set up an appointment doing several sessions of microabrasion and chemical peels in order to clear away the gunk on my skin. In under a week I noticed that my acne began to go away. At home I started using a special kind of exfoliating cleanser and pads to further help fight my problem which worked really well.
The next issue was how to take care of some fine lines around my eyes. When I went in that day I had worn some moisturizer which does a pretty good job of concealing them so she didn’t see anything. At one point she said I shouldn’t use moisturizer which I found a little surprising since everything else I have read about talks about it’s importance. Even one of the people at the cashier counter told me to use moisturizer so I am still unclear on what to do there.
One other thing I went in to talk about was using Retinoids. I have heard some good things about that as well but she said they were for some special use that wouldn’t pertain to me. Unfortunately I can’t remember what she said their special use was. I would like to know that since at the moment I am just using a basic over the counter Retinol rather then something that is specialized for me. The Retinol does seem to do a fairly good job.
