I went to Mike's Auto by accident and what a happy accident it turned out to be! I usually take my car to the dealer (though my husband is convinced I pay too much there). When my car didn't start on Saturday, the AAA guy thought it was the fuel injector or a fuel issue. He suggested I take the car to Mike's. I thought my in-laws also went to Mike's. So I sent my car there. As it turns out, they go to a different mechanic and I suddenly became nervous not knowing anything about Mike's or their reputation! On Monday morning, Steve called and explained that mice were the culprits and that the problem was an easy fix. Wow, I thought, these guys could have told me anything but Steve was honest and timely. An hour later he called again, and I thought, okay, here we go, this is where they get ya. He called to tell me that I had no oil and that he would change it. He then proceeded to explain how to monitor my car's oil consumption and if I wasn't sure, to swing by and he would do it. When I went to pick up my car (the same day they got it!) the cost was exactly what the estimate was and they had changed two blown bulbs AND washed my car as well. I was so impressed with the honesty, the service and their fair prices. I'm happy to say that although I too the "wrong" garage, it turned out to be the right one for me- a totally happy accident! Thank you!!

I had pain in my tooth, one that Dr. Leckowicz had warned me might become problematic. I called the office on Friday; Jennifer, the office manager, told me he was on vacation, but he could perhaps call me. She also sympathized with me and told me that I could call back during the weekend if I needed; there was coverage. I thought I should be okay as the pain was mild. Monday morning, first thing Dr. Paul called me. He suggested I come in for an x ray to see what was happening. I could go in on Monday afternoon. He looked at the x ray; “It is a good thing you came.” We looked at the x ray that showed remarkable deterioration from the last visit. He recommended the tooth be removed! His records showed the tooth had been crowned some time in 1990’s! I asked if he could do it then; the answer was, “yes!” At least I didn’t have time for much of any anticipation! It was relatively seamless, an old tooth. He was extremely complimentary about how well I had done; he is a smiling positive person! An implant is in my future.Read More …
