I love going to Massage Heights but I do have a problem with the front desk staff asking me if I want to leave a gratuity; especially if I prefer to check out prior to getting my massage so I can leave when it's done.
A gratuity is given to show appreciation for a job well done. Recently, I was asked this question from the front desk prior to my massage and I gave one....my massage was far from good and not deserving of my gratuity; I would not have left one. The therapist seemed like he was untrained in his technique and I wasn't provided the pillow under my legs.
I am more than willing to give gratuities and many times I've left one afterward. Just a suggestion to ask your front desk staff to refrain from asking...there are the gratuity envelopes at your front desk which is nice.
Thank you very much and I look forward to my next massage.
