This situation was unfortunate. With many of our customers, we bill time & material and the pricing comes out less than if we gave a written estimate which requires that we assume a worst case scenario. In the past, that had been the case with this customer. Unfortunately, on the calls that he is referring to, it was a "worst case" and there was a lot of time consumed in the process of correcting his plumbing problems and he was billed accordingly. When his complaints about price were brought up, the situation was discussed with the plumber involved and the field supervisor. A determination was made that it was legitimate hours and the charges were correct. He had complained about charges one other time and we gave a discount. We try to be fair in all of our dealings and treat people the way that we would want to be treated.
