Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we apologize that you were not happy with the service you received. When a check engine light comes on it only tells us a direction to look for the problem. It then takes a very expensive computer, a tech that has to own tools and have an education to determine the problem. We are not a parts store that guesses what might be the problem so we can sell you a part. Our repairs all come with a 24month/24000 mile warranty so every effort is made to make the right determination. The part for this repair was $30 (quality parts cost more, so we can warranty them). It also required a gasket and antifreeze which adds another$40. Again, I can't speak for what other people use for antifreeze and parts, but we only use high quality. There are standard labor guides that quality shops use to determine the labor on a job. It is not something we decide. This is to compensate quality techs who spend a lot of money on tools, education and certifications. Thank you for giving us the opportunity!

Dr Hooper and his staff gave me first class treatment as a new patient with him personally cleaning my teeth then quickly fitting me in to fix two cavities. I didn’t even feel the Novocain shots. They fully explained what they were doing and why and didn’t try to up sell everything like so many of the chain dental companies do now. My wife went to them first and her recommendation got me there too with no regrets. I’ve been searching for years for a dentist to replace mine that retired and think I’ve finally succeeded.
