I am very particular about my teeth, ask any of my friends or family members. I make sure to brush my teeth twice a day and floss every single day. That being said, i don't think it's necessary for me to be in pain or for my teeth/gums to bleed for a regular cleaning.
I know the dental technician was just doing her job...but OUCH! I was pretty close to tears thanks to the constant digging, poking and scraping of my teeth. At one point, i looked up and saw blood on her gloves which didn't sit well with me.
My constant thought throughout the cleaning was "Someone please take away the tool from this woman, i don't think she knows how to use it without jabbing my gums!"
At the end of the cleaning, she had to clean up the blood that had been smeared on my face by her gloves. Again, i know she was just doing her job and I should be thankful for her thoroughness, but next time please provide me with a complimentary advil before my regularly scheduled cleaning.
When I brushed/flossed that same night, my gums once again started to bleed and throb. Yay dentist visits!
