At our last appt my daughter and I set new appts for the day we intended to do family photos. IT was suggested we do makeup on the same day.

When we arrived at the salon, the makeup artist first tells me there is a problem because they scheduled makeup before hair color. After a lot of confusion she finally says she'll touch me up after. I explained - makeup is for photos - she did it as though I were going to an office. I asked her to darken - again - still nothing near what you'd need for photos. I asked about false eye lashes. She told me I didn't need them. I mention again how I think they look great in photos...she says she isn't even sure if they have any in stock and then just never brought it up again.

MY daughter was doing her makeup next so I explained, she's 11, she wears mascara and blush - she's beautiful...doesn't really need makeup.

I went upstairs and even though I'd told the person doing my daughters hair we were doing it for photos later in the day - her hair had already begun to fall. When she returned from makeup she had on foundation and eyeliner - not appropriate for an 11 year old. Her hair at that point was completely gone. Skylar was kind enough to pull it into a cute braid for us while my color was processing.

I am naturally blonde - I've had some bad hair color experiences trying to get back to blonde - I showed skylar photos of a very blonde me (happy to share) and also described what I was looking for was bright - bright and shiny. My hair is brown with a LOT of red. It is darker than when I came in.

I had to do family photos with an ugly dull reddish brown hair color that doesn't even look like me...and I have to wait 4-6 weeks before I can even try to fix.

Horrible experience all around. Very disappointed considering we've been in several times prior.
