Dupont's Service Center at 28 Sumner Dr. - off Rte. 155 - in Dover NH was founded in 1958 and has grown to become one of the largest independent automotive service facilities in New Hampshire. We offer full service auto repair using the latest in automotive equipment and diagnostic software. We service Dover, Durham (UNH), Madbury, Somersworth and Barrington New Hampshire. Dupont's Service Center warranties all its work for "2-Years or 24,000-miles", whichever occurs first. This includes parts and labor. Our warranty policy is designed to provide YOU, the customer, with added value along with each repair that is above and beyond the industry. The customer service is faultless, but the past two times I've taken my car to Dupont's the price I paid was higher than the price quoted over the phone. The most recent bill included 'haz. mat.' charges for rags and other materials! I also don't like that the final bill I get doesn't show these other charges although I'm sure they would give me a copy of the original bill if asked.
Dupont's Service Center replied:
Hi Jan: I am so sorry you thought we overcharged you. I will look into it. Due to the high cost of compliance for waste disposal, we unfortunately have to pass some of the costs on to our customers.
These fees are charged by every shop that we know of.
We are a very green shop, but it costs.
