I went to get a bikini wax at Dessange. Not only were they 20 minutes late for my appointment, the girl was totally inept. I had to leave 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time which should have been plenty of time. Unfortunately, she had no idea what she was doing and I had to leave half waxed. She didn't even try to get the extra wax off and left me to my own devices. I had to come back later in the day to have my wax finished. The second girl who was working later was much better but even mentioned that it looked like my skin had gone through a major trauma and suggested I ice it because it was in such bad shape from earlier in the day. Literally the worst waxing experience of my life. Steer clear.

We sincerely apologize for your experience at DESSANGE. We have never had any issues with our spa services in regards to waxing services. As for the timing, you are correct there. We should have scheduled your appointment no earlier than 9:30am since the wax does take time to warm up for services.

I would say that my experience at Dessange this winter and spring has not been as satisfying as in the past. The staff seem less attentive, or distracted and the rush to finish my hair cut or color, but there are few or no other patrons around. I also do not appreciate the change from Kerastase to Aveda products, and I suspect the salon is changing hands. I'm looking for a new salon for my next cut.
