Boarded my newest rescued dogs for the first time. One of them is quite a handful. It was very nice that I received a text and picture every few days to make sure that I knew they were OK.

The last visit that I made to Deepwood Clinic was to have my dog put to sleep. Finally his struggle with ill health had come to a point where he couldn't fight back. Deepwood's staff was very familiar with his history and been his place of boarding and care for over ten years. We often made the trip from Springfield to Centrerville because of the care and courtesy displayed during our visits. We got our pet from them when he was two and was always confident of the care he received. The varied expertise of the staff made his treatment successful during all stages of his illness. Knowing that I could go to this clinic made my decision easier because I knew that they understood all we had done and all our pet had endured. Thank you so much for being there for us at that difficult time.

Pickles has been a patient of Dr Meyers and Dr Roberts at Deepwood Animal hospital almost two years. She has needed standard care, shots, an ear infection. The care has always been timely and top notch.

I've always been able to get convenient appointment times.

What I'm truly grateful for and want to share is the excellent emergency care that Pickles has received at Deepwood Vet and at prices that we were able to afford. She had to have a surgery where they had to open up her abdomen and go in To remove her very large, huge uterus. We were very concerned for her safety and she came out of the surgery doing very well and healed up nicely. Dr Meyers and Dr Roberts are really knowledgeable and shared with me the information I needed to know to be a good caretaker to our pickles the pig. I hope I receive care as good as Pickles should I need surgery. I did some reading on the proper anesthesia use for pigs and found that Deepwood Vet uses the most recommended type of anesthesia procedure for pigs. as I'm sure they do for their other animals. I can always reach a doctor by phone if I have a question or emergency .

Reasonable prices help too.

I was not happy with the way I was made to feel after I explained that I cannot afford an ear test/culture that would cost over $200.00 and I still may not ever find out what is giving my dog chronic ear infections. I believe I take very good care of my dogs and have spent a lot of money on Harlow's ears in the past. These tests are expensive and I was laid off my job for over 2 years. Even though I am working now I had to take a cut in pay so I simply cannot afford this other test. This is also what happens when you have to see 3 different vets in the course of a couple of months.

When Dr. Ryle phoned me due to Gigi's 2nd bladder infection, she told me she would be prescribing a different antibiotic than Baytril and would give me "____________" (of which I cannot remember the name. She also stated that she would make it for a longer duration dosage to make sure the infection was completely eradicated. However, when I picked up Gigi's med it was, in fact, Baytril with the same amount as last time. Unfortunately, Dr. Ryle was not there so I purchased the Baytril and have administered it to Gigi with the bottles direction. Gigi is much better and I hope this clears out any lingering infection. Just want this noted so her records reflect she did receive Baytril for the 2nd bladder manifestation.

As usual, Team Hutchison does it again. Everyone there is uber friendly and helpful, which is why I've been a patient with Dr. Hutchison for 30+ years! Their equipment is state of the art and techniques are always updating. One of the best qualities about this office is the office climate. (no, not the temperature). You get the feeling that they are a family and very connected to each other. I've always felt welcomed and comfortable and free to ask questions. I've never had an overly long wait in the reception area, nor have I ever felt rushed to leave. My only 'complaint' is that they are so good, it's hard to get an appointment unless you are diligent about making your 6 month check-ups in advance. I live in Manassas and don't feel like the drive to Centreville is too long, in fact, the location is perfectly located near a Giant, Starbucks, Suntrust and great restaurants. What more could you ask for? I never thought I'd say this, but I actually look forward to going to the dentist!
