I have been taking all of my family's cars to Convoy Auto Repair for many years. The reason, simply put, is that auto repair doesn't get any better than this. These guys, (and gals), know cars inside and out, tell you up front what it's going to take to make the repair, and then do it right the first time. They charge a fair price, and if it doesn't need fixing, they are honest and tell you so. Kudos to Dave, the owner, and his crew for running a first class, professional (and friendly) American business.

The work done on my truck has always been first rate. I have no problems with the service or workmanship.
My last visit it was recommended that I replace the engine air filter for $160 (parts). I agreed because I have such a high opinion of the shop. Unfortunately when I got home I found the same filter on the internet for $44. This is almost a 400% markup above retail on the internet. I will still recommend them for the quality of work but would caution my friends about inflated parts prices.

Great question about air filters.
I too am in the habit of searching the internet for information, but many times the results we get are not comparable. The Ford 6.0 Diesel has been a troublesome and expensive engine to maintain and repair. One of the leading causes in their engine failures is contamination from air particulates and lack of proper oil change intervals.

Overall experience was fine. Car is running fine. I am just worried because when you get an oil change, most places top off all fluids: Oil, Water,Transmission, Windshield Wiper and my windshield wiper fluid is some how empty and I am not sure how that works. They seem to be to busy trying to tell me how much more money they wanted out of me rather than taking care of the items they were dealing with fully. I am just not sure if all my fluids were topped off properly is all I am saying. I do not trust auto repair places, but they seem to be truthful and I would recommend the office services for sure. The auto repair itself, the jury is still out on that one.
I don't drive my car very much so I can't really tell if it running different. I know that it is starting differently and I am happy about that.

Thank you for the input. Yes, we do check and top off all fluids including the wiper fluid. If the wiper fluid was missed I apologize. I have reviewed our quality control check list with all staff to assure this does not happen.

As always, an excellent repair job! An added bonus is that Pam, before joining Convoy Auto Repair, was a service writer with Saturn (...before they joined the ranks of the automotive "fallen flags"), and she also owns a Saturn. As a service writer now with Convoy, she is very in tune with my needs, as I am also a Saturn owner.
