had a check engine light looked at and was told to take it to the dealer because it is likely still under warranty. A less honest facility may have just fixed it to make some extra money. This will likely save me hundreds of dollars!

I recently took my Toyota Corolla in to have it looked at due to the fact it was not shifting correctly. I was quoted a price for parts and labor, my total bill would have been over $400 with 4+ hours worth of work. They also quoted me for some recommended work, one of which was a back light was "out" (I checked afterwards and it was not out), that was going to be over $200. As a single mother I could not afford these outrages prices, so I asked if they would work with me and maybe lower the price to around $325, something I could afford at the time. They simply said they could not do that, which was totally fine with me until I took my car to a family shop. They looked at my car and said the same problem existed (without me saying what CPG said) and they recommend some of the other work to be done as well. However, the family garage said at most for the whole job to be done it would only take around 1 1/2 hours (not 4) and only cost $200 (not over $400), the other recommended work was also quoted to be way less. I will never go here again for anything, and would not suggested anyone go there as well unless you would like to get ripped off.
