Upon entering the office, we were greated by such a lovely staff. They are energetic and friendly. However, once in the examination room, Dr Brodie was far more concerned with his cell phone than the situation I was discussing with him. He was actually texting while I was speaking! I find this a total lack of respect for me, my health and my time. Unreal. I will not be returning.

Obviously, I did not meet this patient's needs. I try to give all of my attention to every patient. I do not know which patient was offended because the name was not included in the review. I have 3 children ages 16, 13, and 9. The oldest one drives, and the other two are in various activities. I have told all of them to text me rather than call, so I can check their message and see if they need my urgent attention. I also have given my cell phone number to many school nurses for quick communication or answers to their questions. When I receive a text message, I check to see who it is from and if it is an emergency. If it does not require urgent attention, I do not send a reply. If it does, I send a reply. I have never ignored a patient to text, but as stated earlier, I did not meet the expectations of this patient-whoever they are. I apologize for their experience, as it is not an acceptable experience at Brodie Optometry, and I think my track record speaks for itself.

The experience we have at Brodie Optometry is like family. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Dr Brodie explains the examine in detail and also asks if you have any questions. Oh, by the way Dr Brodie knows a little bit about O-H-I-O

Went in for a simple filling removal and re-filled. I was not seeing my my normal dentist and was not told this when I made appointment. The novice dentist began talking about the wrong side of my mouth, until corrected. Additionally, gave so much novocaine my mouth was numb for 5 hours. I have never experienced this in my entire life. I severly bit my tongue due to the length of time my mouth was numb. Will be sure I request an experienced DDS next time!read more …
