I was very wary of Bikram yoga as there are a lot of valid criticisms out there. Manys of the instructors attitude of "If it hurts do it more" is indicative of everything I feel is wrong with modern fitness culture.
My experiences at this studio with instructor Andi Martin have gone a long way to soothe those concerns. They have been encouraging without being pushy and I feel safe in their care so far.
Time will tell, but the classes I have attended have been a fantastic start for a yoga novice.
I would advise 2 things:
1) I highly recommend trying a non-hot yoga before trying this.
2) Spend your first class observing as much as (if not more) than you practice.
