Good work, way higher estimate

We needed two headlights put in (which we provided) and called for an estimate and were told 85-170. When we picked up the car the bill was $270 with no explanation and no other work done to the car besides the headlights The headlights look and work fine but I am quite put off by the bill.

Found this place through yelp.com, since I have problem with the cooling system on my Vw golf. These guys only work on Vw and Audi, very knowledgeable, and priced fairly. Service manager Adam was very kind and honest.

120,000 mile check

The last 40,000 mile check was done by the dealer for $2100 dollars, and the car cam away missing and after repeated return trips no solution from the dealer. Austin VDub discovered the error was a wiring harness that was not installed during the 80,000 mile check. The 120K check cost me $242 dollars and the car has run like a champ since I started service with Austin VDub 30,000 miles ago. They do it right, analyze, diagnose then repair or replace. They're good, and they're certainly the best in Austin.

i truly appreciate that the service manager always looks out for my best interests. he gives sage advice, is proactive about suggesting how to get the most value from my repair funds, and never ever takes advantage of my vast ignorance about cars. he really embodies the spirit and ethos of austin vw.
