I feel pretty lucky to have a mechanic, who not only guarantees his work, but cares about the work his shop puts out. Allen's Automotive is the only place I have ever taken or will take my car for any repair. 13 months ago, Allen replaced a head on my 2002 Honda, replaced all belts hoses, water pump kit, the car had over 195K miles. Two weeks ago I had taken a 350 miles trip. When I pulled off at my desired exit, the check engine light came on I could tell it was misfiring. I pulled into a parking lot at 4:55 pm and called Allen. Allen made a phone call and informed me he had someone in the area to come and pick-up my car and they would look at it and contact him the next morning.

The next morning Allen was told a valve was burned out. Allen told this mechanic, to put the car back together, he would come and get it. Allen and Margie drove the 350 miles in his motor coach, rented a dolly, and brought me (I was in the recliner, chillin), and the car back to Memphis.

I fell pretty lucky I have Allen as my mechanic, I don't know any other person or business that would have gone out of his way and expense to find out what went wrong with a vehicle 13 months later and out of warranty. But the fact that I had only put 8K miles on the car since the repairs I mentioned above, Allen wanted to know why this happened.

The car was repaired at no cost to me and I can’t thank Allen enough!

I Been To At Least 3 Different Shops To See What Was Going On With My Car And Everybody Told Me Something Different With A Outrageous Cost to Go Along With It But I Went To Allens And They Found The Problem And Fixed It And It Didn't Cost Me Whole Lot It Was Very Reasonable Mr.Allen Was Very Nice He Explained Everything That Was Wrong With My Car And It Shocked Me That There Was A Warranty On The Things That He Had Done To The Car I Will Definitely Be Doing Business With Allens Again And Im Already Referring people Already Best Experience I've Ever Had With A Mechanic Shop Thank You For The Great Service

I thought the problem with my car was minor and could be fixed while I waited. Turns out that wasn't the case, but the diagnosis was done while I waited, and Allen explained what had to be replaced, gave me an estimate and a time-frame for completion, both of which he met. I highly recommend the shop - best experience I have ever had with auto repairs.

I've been going to Allen's since November 2012. My first visit was because I had won gift cards from 98.1 The Max. I haven't been to another car place since! Allen treats you like family and doesn't BS around. Before he does any work on my car he always let's me know exactly what is going to be done. If he runs across a problem I didn't know about, he'll give me all the information first and then tell me to think on it and get a second opinion if need be. But, I've never needed to because the service there speaks for itself.

You can spend $20 on an oil change at a chain/corporate place - but you won't be paying for quality. As a small/independent business - his work HAS to be superior for him to even be in business. Word travels fast. If he and his team weren't great at what they do, they wouldn't have the regular customers that have been going there for years.

I drive about 30 minutes to go to Allen's and it's always worth it. I'll be a customer of his until I don't have a car anymore! ;)
