I stopped by Dr. Snyder's office yesterday (very convenient, those Saturday hours) to pick up my new contact lenses. While there, I decided to update my glasses' wardrobe, too. Tammy and co. struck a great balance between helping me when I had questions and leaving me on my own to browse the shelves and spend ages trying on loads of frames. When I finally picked a pair, Tammy helped with my insurance and submitted the order, done and done.
This experience was much more pleasant than the last time I ordered glasses, three years ago at a different doctor's office. At that time, I selected my frames (of the Tina Fey ilk) and brought them to the receptionist, who frowned, held them with her fingertips, turned them over, and sighed. Then she said, "I don't know when women are going to start buying glasses large enough for their bifocals." A delicious blend of rude and irrelevant: I didn't have bifocals then, and three years later, I still don't need them.
I mention this story only to emphasize the fabulous service provided at Highland Family. No such judgment from Tammy the Frame Maven! Thanks for all of your help!
