I trusted AC auto for oil changes, they seemed like honest people. I recently had a very bad experience. I came in for an oil change a few days ago and teh mechanic recommended $500 in repairs, this is the same work I had done a few months earlier at the dealership. Since then I have taken my vehicle to other locations to confirm the repairs are not needed. This may be an exception but I felt it needed to be shared.

When I pull in someone comes out to greet me. The staff is friendly, the prices fair. And being a woman, I am used to being treated like I don't know anything about cars when I go get my oil changed, bit they don't do this. They talk to me like a human being and don't try to upswell like most places. This will always be my mechanic. Love them!

The service was performed in a timely manner, but I do not understand the pricing. A part that cost 59.99 cost me $390 in labor and there was a supply charge for 29.99 that I was not aware of. The car was fixed in less than two hours, but I guess at nearly $200 per hour (labor), it should have been. I think the pricing needs to change. The other concern is that my other car needed a new starter and they told me it would cost $600 for them to fix it. I left and went to another shop where the labor charge was $60. The car is up and running. I THINK THEY NEED TO REVIEW THEIR PRICING. I used to recommend their service to family and friends, but when I told family how much they quoted me to fix the van and car, they told me from now on to go elsewhere because we are getting ripped off.
