After xrays recently they told me I had four cavities. I arrived on my appointment to have them fill three cavities on my upper right teeth. The assistant and especially the dentist were rough and a little disrespectful of my presence. They talked over me as if I wasn't there, never said sorry when they made me gag, and seemed hurried. These are fillings, one of the simplest dental procedures. However, the next day I was having a lot of sensitivity in the area they worked on and I could not chew on that side. I went back a couple days later (when I could fit it in my schedule) and an assistant (very nice and different from before) scraped the extra composite off. It was a pianful procedure and afterwards felt worse than before. For days and into the next week it wasn't geting better. The dentist then told me that she would have to redo the fillings with the old style fillings (silver ones). I ended up going to get a second opinion at a dentist that doesn't do the silver fillings anymore. He was kind and clearly explained what he thought was going on. And he was gentle. Thats where I will be going from now on, not Wiscasset Dental. Those fillings still don't feel right and its been a month. Hopefully, my new dentist can undo what Wiscasset Dental did.
