I have been looking for a dentist because I just moved to the area and was recommend SoCal Smiles Dentistry by a friend. I am not normally picky about doctors or dentists ans I normally do not write reviews but I think people should be informed before they pick there next Dentist about SoCal Smiles. The dentist that my friend recommend is no longer working for SoCal Smiles and they have a new dentist. The dentist was very quiet and never looked in my mouth only looked at the x-rays and said I had 1 cavity and that I would need a deep cleaning because I have gum disease. I was always good at going to my old dentist every 6 months never once had a cavity or told that i had gum disease. I decided to go ahead and do the deep cleaning because it would not hurt anything to get my gums cleaned really well and let the dentist fill the cavity. When I showed up for the cavity filling the dentist told me he was filling 2 cavities. I told him that he had only told me I had 1 cavity so how do I have 2 cavities now. He said that they are right next to each other so it does not matter. I let him fill 2 teeth. But I do not know why he was not honest from the beginning. And now I have to pay for 2 cavities instead of 1 and I do not even trust I had 1 to begin with. The deep cleaning cost a lot of money as well. And they measured my gums and all of the measurements were below 3 which is good. They told me I was going to have to come back every 3 months for teeth cleanings because of my gum disease. That is a lot of money on visits. My gums look good they do not bleed when I brush or floss them. My teeth and gums do not hurt. I feel as though they are trying to take my money on unnecessary procedures. To top it all off I called to cancel my appointment and reschedule. They told me that they do not have any appointments after 430pm because they are not open passed 4pm. I looked at there website and it says they are open until 6pm tues-thurs and until 7pm on Monday. I would not recommend this dentist office to anyone.

As always the staff were very competent and courteous and my issues were dealt with on time and in good order. I have been going to SoCal Smiles for many years and they are always on top of everything and there is never any pressure to upsell any treatment. Thanks again for a job well done (cleaning and whitening).

We had a dental emergency. My teen had fallen and chipped a tooth. So Cal Smiles got us in the same day and took care of the tooth right away. It was more of a cosmetic issue, but they didn't hesitate to take good care of her.

they also took care of billing my health insurance company, which may or may not cover the cost, because the dental HMO we belong to did not cover it in full. Such a breath of fresh air when I compare them to our past dentists, both of whom grossly overcharged us for several services provided. (Avalon Dentistry in particular - it took nearly a year to get the $1100 they overcharged me for my other daughter's wisdom teeth removal.)
