My appointment was at 9:30 am on a Monday but I first left the waiting area at 11:00am! I was tempted to leave but since I didn't have something scheduled later, I stayed. After the eye tests began, things improved dramatically. No one told me, though, why the delay or offered any apology. I hope this kind of delay is rare and that the next time, things are more prompt.

Carol, I want to acknowledge that we did keep you waiting too long before we started your examination. We were busy and unfortunately, someone got taken before you. I apologize for this and that we did not apologize at the time.
I do assume you meant to say 10:00, not 11:00. Our Electronic Health Record time stamps everything, and it shows we starated a bit past 10:00. Still late but at least not 90 minues late before we started. We respect our patient's time, and we will try to do better in the future.
