It's never too late to talk about car maintenance to keep your car running without problems. AAA & most auto manufacturers recommend the following:
Change oil & filter every 3,000 miles or 3 months
Check coolant condition & freezing protection (flush cooling system every 2 years)
Check tire condition and rotate every 6,000 miles
Check brakes at least every 15,000 - 25,000 miles
Transmission Service every 30,000 miles
Alignment once a year or every 10,000 miles improves tire wear, handling, & mileage
Most cars need timing belts replaced every 60,000 miles
Check fuel filters, air filters, pcv, plugs...need to be inspected for condition - inexpensive maintenance now can reduce costly repairs later

When I first transferred up to Waltham area from Louisiana I was a little concerned about finding a good mechanic to keep my old 95 Mustang in working order (sentimental value ...was my son's first car graduating from high school)... but since I belonged to AAA I noticed that Paul's Auto was part of their network automotive repair shops. In addition there was a connection, as my son's name is also Paul. Have never been disappointed in their providing EXCELLENT service and most reasonable pricing for quality, reliable and honest work. I took my Sienna to a local dealer for 60k mile service. They recommended brake work for which they planned to charge me around $700. Paul's did some of the work for $400 and Paul said the other work wasn't necessary. Money saved, good work done!
Also my Dodge Stratus needed work. Paul gave me a list and carefully itemized costs and what could be delayed to spread out the expense. Nice to have someone thinking like that.

Did not need new brakes, but a simple cleaning of debris from rear brakes.
Squeaking ceased and brakes feel better on the pedal. Very reasonable service fee.
