We've had good experiences with John at Metric Motors. He trouble-shoots intelligently, and he always checks in before doing anything that adds to the bill. We have a diesel Jetta and he took good care of it at a reasonable rate. And we got to drive a BMW as a loaner car!

Everyone I have interacted with at Metric Motors has always been very accomodating, friendly and extrememly helpful even when I drop in unannounced. If the check-engine light comes on John or team has always been available to hook the computer up, download the codes and help determine appropriate next steps. I always shcedule my regular service with Metric Motors, usually with short notice, and although they are sort of out of the way on 8th street I am never dissapointed becasue you really get the sense that great service and total customer satisfaction is as important to them as they know that will keeps folks coming back.

John is a friendly, honest, experienced mechanic. His pricing is reasonable, and he always takes time to explain necessary repairs. Overall, he and his staff are very helpful.

I took a VW Eurovan to my regular mechanic 3 times and he couldn't figure out why the check engine light wouldn't go off - but these guys figured it out, and now I hope it will pass CA smog. These guys are very thorough and 1-upped my regular trusted mechanic.

We bring our three cars to Metric Motors on a regular basis - for maintenance and required repairs. So far John and his crew have fixed/solved our car problems at - I believe - reasonable and fair cost. I trust John's word and would call him an ethical and honest small business owner. George
