Overall a pleasant dental visit. They hygenists are always nice, informative, and helpful, and Dr. Hine is a great dentist. However, this time I also got fitted for a mouth guard, and while I understand that the process is a bit uncomfortable no matter which way you slice it, I was not informed of what the procedure would consist of before hand. I was caught completely off guard with a mouthful of dripping goo shoved quickly into my mouth with the warning "things are gonna get messy" and was gagging, gasping for breath, and desperately trying to use my tongue to keep the goo from dripping down my throat. Just a heads up of what to expect and how to minimize the discomfort (i.e. "you'll need to breathe through your nose", or "this will take about 60 seconds") would have made a world of difference.
