I hadn't realized that this office specialized in child dentistry. I wasn't too thrilled to see nor hear much of what the noise and clutter was being made. 45 minutes later I was called to be seen. (I arrived at 9 for my 9am appointment; cleaning at 10am) The x-ray tech was friendly but the space in which I was being examined included two other nurses/technicians; no effort nor consideration of privacy was given nor shown. Once I was seen by the hygienist, she alerted me that I apparently had severe gum disease of which I was shocked to hear. The past years of visiting Lovett Dental on Kirby in Rice Village, I was praised by the dentist and hygienist over the health of my teeth and gums. After the hygienist's examination, the dentist stopped by for a brief moment only to give a brief diagnosis of said gum disease. The exam took all by 5 or so minutes but it wasn't until 30 minutes later that the office manager came in apologizing for being late. He mentioned he was dealing with a citation but then immediately got to business! I was presented with payment options for an intense cleaning among other things. (I should remind the reader that I was there for a teeth cleaning as well but was given the news that there was no longer time even though made the appointment 10am; it was 11 now.) I honestly felt like I was being taken advantage of and grew very skeptical of what news I was receiving. I decided to revisit my previous Lovett Dental office at the Kirby location in Rice Village where they were as exceptional as always and informed me that my teeth were still in great health. I do not normally write these reviews, especially in this manner, but I feel that it is imperative that corporate and franchise owner be aware of this experience. I will never revisit this location and will refer no one. Good luck.
