The massage with my partner next to me was very nice. I wish that the massage therapist asked me a few questions on if it was too soft or if he needed to massage harder. The area was very clean and i loved the amenities that came with it.

This spa is amazing! I've been hesitant to get massages at resorts that automatically add gratuity because the last 3-4 have not been good at all. That is absolutely NOT the case here. It was one of the best massages I've ever had-all thanks to Carolyn! It was so good that I went back the next day for another one. Everyone on staff at the spa and resort were top notch. Book & enjoy the spa services-you won't regret it!

Overall a good experience. I was taken aback by the hotel taking 3% of the mandatory 20% tip for themselves as a "service" charge, and then asking me if I wanted to add more. It seems very shady -- I was surprised such a reputable company would do that to their employees.

Please note that In regards to the service charge, 17% is paid out to our therapist staff while the remaining is paid to the spa front desk staff and spa attendants who work to ensure a seamless experience during the spa visit. The hotel does not retain funds from the service charge. I do hope you will continue to visit us at Spa Oceana.
