I had a molar extraction plus bone graft plus gum transplant yesterday.
The procedure lasted a bit under 2 hours but thanks to an amazing sedative it felt much shorter than that. About the only thing I felt was the prick of the intravenous needle in my arm and some faint stings from injections in my mouth. Yet I felt conscious and "pleasantly aware" (if that is possible, during oral surgery...) the entire time, was able to follow directions ("turn this way," "open wide", "bite on this", etc.).
Today, almost 24 hours later, all is well, surgical sites look fine and without any problem. Very little discomfort, easily managed with Ibuprofen.
Dr. Pasquinelli is also monitoring my daughter's implant gone bad (done by a different dentist).
