My appointment had to be pushed back because the stylist I initially scheduled with quit. Which was totally understandable but I was pushed back a week and my appointment wasn't even entered in as the right service so we didn't have time to do what I initially wanted. And if the website is right, I went from being scheduled with a level 5 stylist to a level 2. My hair turned out pretty cute with the exception of the front portion. I thought maybe once I got home and styled it how I usually do, it would blend in more but it didn't. Several people, four people to be exact, have asked "what happened" which is sort of embarrassing :(
I called the salon to ask if I could come in to have just that part fixed and was advised firstly that I needed to send pictures to an email address. I wasn't offered an appointment to fix it just the email address and the person at the front desk didn't seem very apologetic. Maybe she just didn't know how to respond. Who knows.
I do think that she did a great job on the rest of my hair. And maybe I should have just rescheduled again or with another salon instead of proceeding. But I come to Aveda because I trust their stylists. I've only ever had two other bad experiences at an Aveda salon over the course of numerous years. And I normally don't worry about it but I have a formal event coming up next weekend. I don't want to provoke the same reactions there as I did at work today. Hopefully I hear back from someone soon.
