This is the first bad review I have had for Eyes First unfortunitly it is also my last since I won't be going back. I was told that due to my having "border line" glaucoma readings I should be checked every 6 months. That sounded judicous to me so I agreed. This last appointment (which only costs me a $50 co-payment) was only half done since one of the machines used to test eye pressure was "on loan" to another office in another town and I would have to go there to have that test done. Oh, by the way, it would cost me another $50 out of my pocket. The only appointment available was at a day and time that was unacceptable.
The icing on this cake was the doctor decided that I had "dry eye" and needed to buy some special wipes and she needed to see me for a follow-up in two weeks (another $50) I said I was just here less than 6 months ago did I have this condition then? She said yes, but it did not appear as severe, did she even mention it at the time? No. The follow-up could not wait til my next appointment in 6 months. Now, they were only getting $50 form me at a clip, but they were charging my insurance hundreds of dollars. I don't think this is a money making scam on their part. Like I said, they seem like they give a good eye exam. They DO need to review their office practices and spend some of the money coming in to give each office their own equipment. For me there are dozens and dozens of eye doctors in the area and my business will be with one of them.
