I have always had a positive experience with my visits but when I went to get myself a new pair of glasses there was a glitch. My VSP card had my correct name and account number. It was copied by the tech. When the number was input (by eyeglass tech) there was a message that I was not in the VSP system. After trying again (front office) the same error came up. I explained that I was in the VSP system because my premiums were auto deducted from my checking account monthly. It fell on deaf ears and I felt that these two staff members were too busy to contact the VSP and insist on getting to be bottom of the glitch. It was VSP's fault. My name was input in their (VSP) system with my last name as my first, then my first name, and then my middle name last. I believe if the staff had taken an additional 5 minutes (or less), they would have discovered that I was telling the truth. Just 5 more minutes! I went home defeated after picking out the frames, lens, and getting measured for the glasses. (Gas is not cheap and I am on a fixed income). Did the staff assume I had dementia because of my grey hair? Well finally it did get resolved and VSP assured me that my name was corrected in their system. I had to drive back to Kenansville from Wallace to provide payment for my glasses.
Please listen to the patient and don' get carried away with the small stuff. Respect the Grey! You will get there one day! I still love ya!
