The doctor and assistant at Derick are excellent. I've never had a poor experience while in the patient room. However, the scheduling process and the front desk individual who is supposed to help set a follow-up appointment at Derick I find to be atrocious.
The assistant walked me up to the checkout, where the individual was supposed to schedule me for suture removal in 10 days. He explained the only possible day was exactly 10 days from the appointment at 7:00am or then almost 20 days later at another 7:20am spot.
I explained I come from an hour and a half away, and ask if there was anything a little bit later or at any of the other offices, and his response without looking at the screen was "nope", now I understand things get busy, especially around the holidays, but with 3 locations to have no slot for suture removal (a 60 second appointment), and a front desk worker who is not willing to even double check for a patient who drives far,.. It certainly put a bad taste in my mouth.
The office is beautiful, the follow-up is great, love the use of technology, and the doctor and assistant, but I will not be back until I can comfortably schedule an appointment (that should probably have been set up when initial mole removal was set up as they knew I was getting sutures if it is in fact THAT busy.
