The doctor works very well with me and my dental anxiety. However, on this trip, I had a problem. My husband was overseas for work, and one of my dogs had 4 shots the day before. The dog was acting a bit off, and concern over her put me a few minutes late. The friend that I would normally have check in on the dogs was driving me to my appointment, as I take anxiety meds for drilling appointments, and cannot drive. We were driving on walker rd ( the access rd to the doctors complex), when the secretary called me at 2:02 to ask if I was even coming. I apologized, as I know scheduling is important, but she was still rude and blew me off. She continued to be far less than pleasant when I arrived at 2:07. I am never late for my appointments, and this is my 4th so far as I have cavities in each quadrant. Then the doctor only did 2 of the 3 spots on that side, stating that we no longer had the time to do all 3. I have severe anxiety, and extra appointments are awful for me. The one he skipped was the only one I am having problems with, the other 2 are pinholes. And then they scheduled the next one over a month away. I am frustrated. But I am halfway thru the work. I just wish they would have been more sensitive when I am already dealing with an overseas husband and a sick dog. When my husband heard, he is thinking about finding another dentist, as the secretary was rude to him also. He called a week after his filling to say it was bothering him, and they fit him in that afternoon to look at it. He is in management at a large corporation, and adjusted his schedule, but was a few minutes behind. She called him, got voicemail, and then called me at 5 minutes after to complain. And I heard him walk in and apologize in the background. Again, we have never been late before. Always 10 minutes early.

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We really appreciate your feed-back. It is our goal to make every patient experience as positive as possible. Even though I schedule 50% more time for you as compared to a typical restorative visit due to the challenges we face with dental anxiety, there is not always time to complete everything we had treatment planned. We aim to accomplish as much as we can in the given time. I'm sorry we did not complete everything on our list last visit, but when the next patient is on time, seated and prepped, I have to move on. Sorry for any inconvenience; I realize every restorative visit is a challenge for you and my team. We hope your dog has fully recovered from her four injections. Dr. Weiss
