Favorite workout I have ever done. Targets my hips thighs and buns like no other type of exercise. Got me in phenomenal shape for my wedding and now putting it to the ultimate test... Getting me back in shape after having a baby. Special shout out to Kevin, Laura, Leslie and Adair. You are motivating!

I LOVE taking Marita's classes. Her upbeat energy and silly stories always make me smile, and forget how many more butt blasters I have to do.

I find the basic class to be consistently challenging, and always feel that I've gotten a thorough workout and a pleasant stretch and cool-down within my hour.

The front desk staff is always kind, helpful, and efficient.

Tha staff at the check in counter is always so nice. Instructors have all unique styles so I feel like I always get a good workout.

Cardio Barre is the best workout in town! It combines no impact exercises with weight training that really tones and sculpts the body. It's a fun environment with fabulous instructors who are incredibly motivating. Cardio Barre completely changed my body and I feel great!

I've been doing Cardio Barre for some time now. I fell in love with it right away. I noticed a huge change in my body after doing this workout on a regular basis. I just had a baby recently and continued doing it while pregnant. It made it for a easier pregnancy and helped me to get back in shape fast afterwards while still nursing. I really love all the instructors. Place is always super clean . I recommend it to everyone :)

I started dancing over twenty years ago. I loved it. It led me to playing drums in a full time band which meant I had to put a halt to taking dance classes and performing in companies. A few years after that I sustained a back injury that was so painful I had a difficult time playing drums and I was no longer able to tour with my band. Any kind of excercise seemed like a challenge I couldn't face. I became very depressed because I tried everything from physical therapy to chiropractic treatments to acupuncture, pain killers, you name it, and nothing worked. I grew up being a very active person and now I could no longer play intensive drums let alone get back into dance. This lasted a handful of years. I knew it would be important to strengthen my core but I didn't know how without the pain I would sometimes endure from doing the simplest of things like vacuuming.

I kept seeing ads on Groupon for something called Cardio Barre that claimed to be a ballet inspired cardio workout with no impact. I was intrigued. It seemed right up my alley. I figured it was time to make a move and try to heal physically, which would help mentally and emotionally. My first class kicked my butt and I thought I was going to throw up and pass out all at the same time. But I still really enjoyed it. In fact, I became strangely addicted. No longer was I sleeping in on my days off because making the 8:30 am class was a priority. I was finally excited about doing something for myself again. All the teachers are great but I feel especially motivated and inspired by Richard to strive to be best I can be and then even better. By the way, I recommend his book if you haven't read it yet. I even started taking one or two classes a week at the new DTLA location because it is in the same building as my work and I can pop in for a workout when my day there is over. I'm playing music in a band again but am challenged with a new instrument (bass guitar) that is a little less strenuous than drums and am considering trying dancing again. I'm telling you, the motivation and inspiration you gain is amazing.

About a week ago, the love of my life, my beloved dog of fifteen years passed away. I have never felt sadness like this. It has been very rough but I have still managed to make it to my Cardio Barre classes because if I can just have that one hour a day to feel good and take my mind off this sudden void in my life then maybe it will help heal this heartache. I think it's working.

Is my back feeling better? Definitely. I wouldn't say it's completely healed yet but I don't feel the chronic pain that I've felt for the last seven years. I just know it's because of my new workout regimen and lifestyle. I'm confident I will get there and I have Richard Giorla and the rest of the Cardio Barre team to thank for that!

I have been going to cardio barre for almost 4 years now. I always enjoy the workout and love the variety of teaching styles. I have already brought 5 friends over the last couple of months who are now equally as enthusiastic as I am!
