Anya was a very pleasant stylist. I bought in photo's of several of the styles that I was looking into-didn't come out with the photographed style, I was disappointed with that and the color was definitely darker than hoped for. However, as she errored on the cautious side, my curly hair is at a good length and my grey is covered. I wasn't completed satisfied, but would like to see what can be done next time. The experience was safe, not a fresh change.

Just moved here from out of state and wanted a spiral perm , got a appt. and was super excited I have had perms in the past, a lot and knew exactly what I wanted and what it should look like. I showed few pictures of the idea of what I wanted from the web and my own pictures of how it turned out in the past, the girl decided on some rods which said they would turn out good, but they did not turn out at all, I have NO curl in my hair and this is a perm even the night I came home there was nothing to it, I took a after pic gave it 3 days and still no curl of any kind at all. Called and let them know I didn't like it and even got advice from my old hair stylist on how to do it the way she did, passed the advice along and was advised she didn't feel comfortable doing it they way she did, and that's not how she does it. which is fine but I want my $ back bc my hair is NOT permed at all and plus my hair got damaged in the process for nothing for no style at all. I went to other hair salon in Denver and the lady informed me my hair was damaged from this perm process which she believes is acid base not alkaline based bc my hair was previously colored treated and cant use acid base, so now I have to get 1 inch or more cut off bc my ends are worse than before plus showed me how stretchy my hair is now from this process and recommended not to perm til Jan or longer. I have contacted them and was told I am not getting my money back bc the hair stylist showed me the rods and we agreed , ok we agreed bout the rods BUT my hair did not turn out like a perm and have pictures to prove it , its ubsurd that I am unable to not get my $ back bc my hair did not turn out with curls at all, if it had a little curl fine but NONE at all is uncalled for and you as a hair stylist should recognize this. I called back to speak with manager or owner whomever I can talk with and left message and still have not received a call back from anyone ,preferably the owner/manager. So $88 spent on nothing to show for , especially when its supposedly a Aveda Salon. Upset to the extreme and will never go back.

I've been to Bella Luna before and was pleased with my hair cut, however my last visit I ended up not so pleased. I have been wearing my hair up in a pony tail for the last week and half. I have no idea what happened. I can not say anything bad about the stylist, as she made me feel very welcomed and we had a great conversation. However, when I got home I couldn't believe how much hair she cut. Maybe we just got carried away with our conversation? I was horrified! My hair is so much shorter than I wanted, but keep telling myself, maybe it was best that I got so much of my damaged hair cut off. I tried to console myself with that reasoning, but just cant get over the fact that I can't style my hair!! Its awful!! I hate giving bad reviews but thought I had to say something. I am also not the type to complain and go back. I mean, what can the salon possibly do, I just have to wait and let it grow back.

I had a horrible first time experience at Bella Luna, my appointment was with Sara, I was scheduled for an appointment for highlights. First the appt was scheduled incorrectly and Sara clearly was upset and slamming things down. she kept telling me that what I wanted that she didn't have time for and then stated very rudely I will just stay late, instead of referring me to someone else. I only stayed because I had a trip scheduled and really needed to get my roots done. I figured I could talk her down and eventually she calmed down. When applying the color she lathered my forehead about a 1/2 inch with color and when she washed my hair my forehead was stained with a dark brown color, I asked if she could get it off and Sara stated of course I'm going to get it off,she had to rub pretty hard to get one side off. Then she combed my hair out and stated if you don't like it call me and we'll set something up and left. I still had color on my forehead and she didn't blow dry my hair to see how the color turned out. Well the highlight was the opposite of what I asked for and I had to scrub for two days to get the color off my forehead. I made a complaint to the owner who was nice and set me up with Anne who worked hard to fix Sara's incompetency. Anne did a great job but it would take more then one highlight to fix the mess that I was left with. After the 2nd round my hair was fried on one side and they wanted me to come for the 2nd round of highlights. I called to see if I could change the highlight to a cut since my hair was so fried. Anne was of course accommodating but they made me pay for the cut. Which really infuriated me since the damage was due to them trying to fix the mess that Sara caused. Not good, my thoughts are that when you are an AVEDA Salon then you expect a high end service. I could have gone to great clips and they probably could have done a better job then Sara.
