I have been going to Aveda for over a year and always had a very pleasant experience, until 2/6. Instead of being shampooed in the relaxing blue room, I was placed in a toning bowl...I think it's a torture device. The chair faces a gray wall and industrial ceiling, I was left sitting in the chair with my neck leaning on the hard bowl for over 15 minutes. The student doing my hair told me that everyone has trouble with keeping the water off their clients in those chairs, I was literally soaked down my entire back and seat of my pants. My clothing was soaked through to my undergarments. An instructor did offer to dry my sweater, but that wasn't exactly what was causing my extreme uncomfortableness. They did not seem to understand why I would want to leave without having my hair cut or dried...I had just had a shower fully clothed and I was freezing and miserable. I walked through the crowded mall parking lot with wet hair and completely soaked clothing. After that experience, I think I will go elsewhere and quit telling anyone and everyone that compliments my hair where I go.
