The initial assessment was perhaps the most impersonal interaction I have had with anyone in healthcare. She was so rote and unfriendly that I actually considered walking out and going somewhere else. She then took me to the exam room and left me there for 20 minutes before the Dr. came in. After my interaction with the tech I was not in a very good mood.
The whole experience shifted to the other end of the customer service spectrum when Dr. Bogue walked in. He was friendly and personable. He had a pace and rhythm to the exam but he politely listed to what my concerns were and answered every question I asked.
The woman who helped me with the frames (and insurance) and placed my order was similarly friendly and helpful. She seemed very eager to help and make me feel comfortable.
I gave a four-star rating because of the latter two people. I will be having a conversation with Dr. Bogue if I experience the same kind of service up front when I go back.
